A study to assess the level of satisfaction of the caregivers with the nursing care for the children admitted in the pediatric care units in selected hospitals of Shillong Meghalaya

Satisfaction with nursing care is an important and commonly used indicator for measuring the quality in health care. Caregiver satisfaction affects clinical outcomes, patient retention, medical malpractice claims pediatric setting as children are vulnerable depend on family,and which provided by nurse. To bring care,it’s needed to determinent factors associated satisfaction. In this paper, we aim assess level of caregivers admitted units selected hospital Shillong, Meghalaya. Method: A cross sectional study was conducted among hospitals Shillong Four were simple random sampling technique out 2 Govt. private data collection. Total 96 enrolled using consecutive pen paper technique. The tool consists two sections; section I: socio-demographic characteristics caregivers, II: 5 points likert scale based 9 domains caregiver.Finding: Maximum number 95 (99%) satisfied Most participants 94(97%) admission process/procedure, 92 (95.8%) attitude nurse information communication. least domain environment 55 (57.3) reported noise disturbance ward.The found that, there significant association between gender caregiver.
